Why ID Checkers Are So Very Important

Thursday, January 27th, 2011

So, you dont’ have an ID Checker and you don’t know why you need one. Well, let’s say you’ve been running your business for a few months now and everything seems to be going smoothly. Business is doing well with lots of customers running up big liquor bills every night. You know that a few of the people that tend to come in during the weekend are underage but you don’t mind as long as you don’t get caught. Yes, life is good! Then one humble Friday night, a police officer marches up to you, asks if you’re the owner, hands you a piece of paper and says good day. Well that good life just went down the drain. So, that fancy little piece of government paper actually says that you have been caught in a sting operation conducted by the local police force and they were able to get a minor into your establishment on this faithful night. So now you have to pay a $3,000 fine and your liquor license gets suspended for the rest of the weekend. There goes all those great customers and high liquor bills. If you can’t serve liquor, there’s not much of a point in opening at all and now you’ve just lost all the sales you would have made that weekend. That’s roughly a quarter of your monthly income and that hurts any business owner. So this whole situation has now happened to you and could have all been avoided if you had just known why you needed an Low Cost ID Checker so bad. So, an ID checker is so important for the main fact that the underage sting agent that infiltrated your quarters would not have been able to get in. They got in because you were just too busy and had gotten way too comfortable. The ID Checker will instantly tell the user that the person is under 21 or under 18 or even if the ID is expired. Now if the cops come back trying to say that you served a minor you can simply print out a list of all the licenses that you checked and match it up to the person with the surveillance video and prove that you did. So put simply, ID Checkers are good for two things… no more tickets and plenty more high liquor bills

Fight Discrimination in the Work Place

Wednesday, January 26th, 2011

Discrimination has been around since the dawn of time. It has been a continual battle for people of different races, sexual orientations, genders, disabilities, and religions. There have been many wars fought because of discrimination, and there have been many laws passed to protect against it. When a company refuses to hire someone because of their racial or ethnic background, their sexual orientation, their religion, their disabilities, or their gender it is considered discrimination and it is against the law.

It can be hard to prove an employment discrimination case, but it is important to seek help when dealing with discrimination. A discrimination lawyer can help find proof of discrimination in a work place. An employer can not choose who to hire based on their race. The only factor when deciding who to hire should be the qualifications of a potential employee. This is also the case with deciding who should receive a promotion, or would should have their employment terminated.

The United States Constitution provides protection for cases involving discrimination. The Fifth and Fourteenth amendments limit the ability of the government to discriminate. They state a person’s right to due process and equality. There are multiple laws that protect against discrimination, and they are enforced by the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects against employment discrimination because of religion, gender, race, color, or national origin. The Equal Pay Act of 1963 states that employers must pay men and women equal wages when they perform the same degree of work in an establishment.

Many people with disabilities face job discrimination. Luckily, Title I and Title V of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Sections 501 and 505 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 protects against the discrimination of people with disabilities that are as qualified as other applicants and employees. If those who are disabled feel discriminated against in their work place, they can find help from a lawyer. Everyone deserves the opportunity to find a career and to succeed in that career. With this in mind, discrimination attorneys fight for the rights of those who face discrimination.

Will the world End in 2012

Monday, January 3rd, 2011

According to popular psychic and mystic lore the world will end in December of 2012 or at the least the world will suffer some major catastrophe that will forever alter the history of the world and life as we know it. Of course, there is some consolation. So is the world going to end in 2012?

Similar predictions have been made before and they have all turned out to be false and the world kept spinning on its axis. But this time it will be different. The frenzy of 2012 end of the world prediction by major psychics is based on the Mayan calendar which the final cycle of the calendar ends sometime in December 2012.

Psychics have been churning out paper loads of disasters and mishaps as the end of time approaches. One popular prediction is that some giant meteor or comet will strike the earth in the year 2012 end and bring global destruction killing hundreds of millions of people and changing forever the balance of nature. (Although scientists concede that such a thing is possible, and does occasionally happen, scientists also point out, that a meteor actually striking the earth in any given year is billions to one.)

With everything that is happening in the world it seems that the 2012 end of the world predictions just might be true. Others see major effects due to global warming, and still others foresee a major world war which will bring political, social, and economic chaos which will in turn bring an end to the world as we know it.
